Getting started

Four short steps take you from a fresh account to a working dashboard. Nothing in your ad accounts is changed during setup; connecting only reads data until you make an edit yourself.

1. Create your account

Sign up with an email address and a password. If email delivery is configured for the instance you are using, you will receive a verification email; password reset works the same way. There is no credit card step, pimads is free during the beta.

2. Connect Meta and/or Google

Go to Settings > Connections and connect the platforms you use. Each connection is a standard OAuth flow: you are sent to Meta or Google, sign in there, approve the requested permissions, and are sent back to pimads. You can connect one platform or both; every feature works with a single platform connected.

Details about permissions, token encryption, and renewal are on the Connections page.

3. Bind an ad account

A connection gives pimads access to the ad accounts your Meta or Google login can manage. In Settings > Ad account you pick which ones this workspace should work with: one Meta ad account and one Google Ads customer per workspace. If you manage several accounts, create one workspace per client and bind each accordingly, see Workspaces.

4. First look at the dashboard

Once an account is bound, the dashboard fills in with:

  • Dual-platform stats, your key numbers for Meta and Google side by side,
  • Budget pacing against a monthly target, with a projection of where the month is heading,
  • the AI daily digest, a short written summary of what changed, with suggestions you can apply or dismiss and links to the campaigns it mentions.

5. Meet Blink

Blink is the command bar behind Cmd K (Ctrl K on Windows), also reachable from the top of the sidebar. Type what you want and it happens: pause Brand RO pauses that campaign, analytics prospecting last 7 days opens Analytics focused on it, run rules evaluates every enabled rule, and any plain sentence like pause anything spending 200 with no sales in 3 days is offered to the AI to draft as a rule you confirm. Verb commands respect draft mode: with drafts on, a pause from Blink queues instead of hitting Meta live.

Onboarding checklist

A reasonable first session looks like this:

  1. Create your account and verify your email if prompted.
  2. Connect Meta and/or Google in Settings > Connections.
  3. Bind an ad account in Settings > Ad account.
  4. Open the Campaigns page and try the platform switcher.
  5. Pick your columns (ROAS, CPA, and spend are a good start) with the column picker.
  6. Read the AI digest on the dashboard and dismiss anything not useful.
  7. Optionally create a first rule in notify-only mode, so it alerts you without proposing changes.
  8. Optionally add your Slack webhook in Settings > Workspace to mirror notifications.

Tip

Start with notify-only rules and the default manual approval mode. You can always tighten automation later, once you have seen a week of proposals and trust what the rules catch.
